Federal Distilling, the Philadelphia-based craft distillery, that produces the award-winning Stateside Urbancraft Vodka, will open their doors to the highly anticipated tasting room, the Federal Distilling Room (FDR), beginning on Thursday, August 11th, 2016. FDR is located in the rising neighborhood of Kensington and conveniently adjoins the distillery at 1700 North Hancock Street. FDR will offer Stateside Urbancraft vodka tastings, a signature cocktail menu, small plates, private event offerings, and group distillery tours.

“After countless hours of planning, designing and perfecting our vision, we’re excited to open our doors to the public,” says Co-Founder Matt Quigley. “We want to give people the chance to see what’s behind the bottle and FDR will allow them to not only experience our product, but to also interact with our story.”

Federal Distilling was co-founded by brothers and self-educated distillers, Matt and Bryan Quigley, in their parents’ basement in 2013. Since inception, it has since generated unprecedented buzz across the country and on an international scale, having won a total of five prestigious industry awards for their Stateside Urbancraft Vodka since the flagship product first hit shelves in December 2015.

Stateside Urbancraft Vodka is now sold in over 166 stores across the state of Pennsylvania and featured at over 300 bars and restaurants in the Greater Philadelphia area. Most recently, Federal Distilling was named the exclusive vodka of the 2016 DNC and served at all official DNC events organized by the Host Committee. Federal Distilling’s FDR Tasting Room is the Quigley’s newest development under the Stateside Vodka umbrella.

FDR will feature signature Stateside Urbancraft Cocktails that will be made with fresh, natural, and house-made ingredients. Small plates, carefully selected spirits, craft beer, and wine from around the world will also be available. Guests are invited and encouraged to enjoy distillery tours, conducted by co-founders Matt and Bryan Quigley, along with informative vodka tastings that allow guests to take in panoramic views of the distillery floor.

“It’s still hard to believe that a few years ago we were making vodka in our parents basement and now we’re opening up a full-service tasting room,” says Co-Founder Bryan Quigley. “Stateside Urbancraft Vodka hit shelves in December 2015 and now we are opening FDR to the public. From here, we are excited and hopeful to expand into other markets, but for now we are enjoying the ride and thankful for all that we have accomplished thus far.”

FDR’s hours of operation are Thursdays 5:00pm—10:00pm, tour at 7:00pm; Fridays 5:00pm—10:00pm, tour at 6:00pm; Saturdays 12:00pm—10:00pm, tours at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5:00pm. FDR will also be available to rent for group events, corporate gatherings and private parties upon request. To learn more about this award-winning vodka visit their website at statesidevodka.com.
